Municipal Elections for the City of Hildale, Utah will be held November 4, 2025. To elect persons to the following offices:
1 Mayor (4 year Term)
2 City Council Members (4 Year Term Each)
Candidate filing forms will be available at the Hildale City Office located at: 320 E. Newel Ave. You may pick them up during regular office hours: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00 pm - 1:00 pm on Friday.
Each person seeking to become a candidate for a municipal office shall file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with the City Recorder during the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm between June 2, 2025 and not later than 5:00 pm on June 6, 2025. (USC 20A-9-203). The office will remain open until 5:00 pm on Friday, June 06, 2025.
The Recorder shall review the qualifications necessary to become a candidate and the provisions of statute or municipal ordinance governing the disclosure of campaign contributions or expenditures with each person who files for candidacy. (USC 10-3-208(4); 20A-9-203)
The qualifications for a candidate are:
1. Be a legal United States Citizen;
2. Be at least 18 years old;
3. Be a registered voter of the municipality;
4. Be a resident of the municipality or recently annexed area for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election. (USC 10-3-301; 20A-9-203)
If there are more than two (2) individuals who file for the one (1) available Mayor seat and/or if there are more than four (4) individuals who file for the two (2) available Council Member seats, a Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. If there are less than the above stated number of candidates filing, then no primary election is needed. Voting for the General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
